Retrospectives
All (if not most) Agile iterations have to end with a retrospective, on how things have evolved, problems encountered, new things that should be tried and so on. AgileWorks and Software Business Incubator is hosting a meetup that is about how are we doing retrospectives, how we should do them, if and how do we change things after a retrospective and, last but not least, how do we learn from our mistakes.

Let's discuss in this meetup the advantage of incremental and iterative thinking, why is it so hard to make the transition from "all at once" approach to "small steps" approach. Examples and experience sharing are welcomed and encouraged. For those practicing TDD (test driven development) a discussion on this technique might be interesting.

Agile for small teams & freelancers - Thursday, November 19th, starting at 15.00
Software applications, from complex to simple ones, have to fulfill the real need of the customers and end-users. It's our duty as software professionals to help the customers to rapidly respond to change in the market and to constantly deliver working software at the requested quality even when changes appear.
Agile is about learning how to adapt, learning how to perform better while continuously obtaining results, no matter if we work in a team located in the same office, virtual team or as a single individual. As long as we keep thinking agile and respecting agile principles, we can have better and better results while increasing our knowledge.
What we propose to do in this meetup is: discuss and obtain a better understanding of Agile principles, what benefits derive from following "the agile way", what costs and impediments may appear in the agile transition and how we succeed in becoming agile. The focus will be from the perspective of small teams & individuals working as freelancers. If we have time, we'll do a workshop and/or discuss one or two case studies.
Anyone interested in sharing their experience in the field or to hear other experiences are invited to join. This is planned to be a good opportunity to meet smart and talented people from Timişoara software development community.
The meetup will be hosted by Timisoara Software Business Incubator's training room and will be moderated by Maria Diaconu, Agile Practitioner & Coach and initiator of Agile Software Meetups in Bucharest, Brasov and Cluj-Napoca.
The event will last for approx. 3.5 hours.

Saturday, October 17th, starting at 15.00, Agile Works Romania and Timișoara Software Business Incubator will organize under the title Timișoara Agile Software Meetup, an event dedicated to the young professionals interested in Agile software development processes such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, Feature Driven Development and Test Driven Development.
Anyone interested in sharing their experience in the field or to hear other experiences are invited to join. This is planned to be a good opportunity to meet smart and talented people from Timişoara software development community.
The meetup will be hosted by Timisoara Software Business Incubator's training room and will be moderated by Maria Diaconu, Certified SCRUM Master and initiator of Agile Software Meetups in Bucharest, Brasov and Cluj-Napoca.
The event will last for approx. 3 hours and will be followed by an informal party in a location to be nominated at a later stage.
